Welcome to The Breakdown. Allow me to break down how I made it.
Over a few years, the same type of songs stacked up unintentionally. It’s almost as if the mixtape created itself, lonesome tracks that told me they wanted to be with their friends. It became glaringly obvious, and I finally budged to give you this new Zeal offering.

In “Breath” I mention, “This is a breakdown of myself.” That song inadvertently created the mixtape title. The idea for the mixtape cover came to light when I boxed in my dusty garage. The boxing bag became my face. Gut-wrenching, hard-hitting punches deteriorating my flesh until I met my soul.

I hope you enjoy your stay, even if it is brief. If you feel a chilly breeze hitting you right in the face, wear a visor next time. I’m here to remind you that breaking yourself down by letting the darkness out may have the potential to make you whole again. Sometimes you need to break it down to the last molecule before you can zoom out and create the picture you want to see.
